Design creation :<\/h4>\n

Timeless designs come to life using precisely designed silkscreen frames. Colour is meticulously applied using a scraper, demanding perfect coordination between our craftsmen to layer shades and create rich, vibrant designs.<\/p>\n

Selection of raw materials:<\/h4>\n

At Beauvill\u00e9, natural fibres such as cotton, linen, wool and silk are preferred. All fabrics are carefully prepared, passing through flaming and bleaching stages to ensure a pristine canvas ready for our vibrant colours.<\/p>\n

The colour kitchen:<\/h4>\n

We develop our colours in a computerised “colour kitchen”, using a combination of more than 20 basic shades to create harmonious, timeless palettes.<\/p>\n

The heart of the craft:<\/h4>\n

Under our large sheds, our craftsmen delicately glue the fabric onto the printing tables, apply the colours with precision, then allow the designs to dry before moving on to the spraying and finishing process.<\/p>\n

Printing: Until the 17th century, cloth printing was a demanding task carried out by hand, using wooden stencils known as “plates”.
\nThis required extreme precision and could take months to complete. In the 1940s, this technique developed into the “\u00e0 la lyonnaise” or ” flat screen” technique, an innovation that transformed our approach to textile printing.<\/p>\n

Treatment and finishing :<\/h4>\n

Each fabric undergoes more than fifteen pre- and post-print treatments to ensure exceptional quality. Special techniques such as spraying are used to fix colours permanently and guarantee long-term stability.<\/p>\n

Each Beauvill\u00e9 tablecloth is then carefully inspected by expert eyes to ensure that it meets our exacting standards before being handed over to our seamstresses for the final finishing touches.<\/p>\n
