How to choose the perfect size for your Beauvillé tablecloth

Unlike beds, tables don’t follow standardized sizing for linens. Regardless of your table’s shape, a simple rule of thumb is to allow for a drop of 20 to 30 cm (8 to 12 inches) on each side.

When choosing your Beauvillé tablecloth, simply measure the width of your table and add 40 to 60 cm (16 to 24 inches), depending on the drop you prefer.

To make your selection easier, here’s a practical guide based on the number of place settings.

For a Square Table

4 to 6 guests: Choose a 170×170 cm tablecloth.
For a standard drop of 30 cm on each side, use the following formula:

  • Tablecloth length = table length + (drop height × 2)

  • Tablecloth width = table width + (drop height × 2)

For a 170×170 cm tablecloth, your table should measure approximately 110×110 cm.

For a Rectangular Table

6 to 8 guests: Choose a 170×250 cm tablecloth.

8 to 10 guests: Choose a 170×310 cm tablecloth.
Ideal for tables measuring 110×250 cm, based on a 30 cm drop.

10 to 12 guests: Choose a tablecloth from 170×310 cm up to 170×380 cm, depending on your table’s length.

For each option, use the same formula:

  • Tablecloth length = table length + (drop height × 2)

  • Tablecloth width = table width + (drop height × 2)

For a Round Table

A square tablecloth can be an excellent and stylish choice for round tables as well.
