STEP 1 – Measure your table (Length and Width)

Whether your table is round, square, or rectangular, it’s essential to find the tablecloth size that best suits it. Measure the length and width of your table to select the most appropriate table linen.

STEP 2 – Calculate the overhang

For the best look—regardless of your table’s shape (round, square, oval, or rectangular)—we recommend an overhang of 20 to 30 cm (8 to 12 inches) on each side. Once you’ve found a design you love from our wide range of tablecloths, simply add 40 to 60 cm (16 to 24 inches) to both the length and the width of your table to determine the ideal tablecloth size.

STEP 3 – Follow our tips according to your table shape

Your table is square

Square tables are often found in kitchens and typically seat up to four guests. For a stylish and modern look, choose a tablecloth that’s 40 to 60 cm (16 to 24 inches) larger than your table on each side.

Example: For a 130 x 130 cm (51 x 51 in) table, the Rialto square model (170 x 170 cm / 67 x 67 in) will provide an ideal 20 cm (8 in) overhang on each side.

  • Your table is round

Round tables promote a warm, communal atmosphere and eliminate the need for assigned seating. For a contemporary twist, try a square tablecloth on your round table! Simply measure the diameter and add 40 to 60 cm (16 to 24 inches) for a graceful drape.

  • Your table is rectangular

Just count how many guests your table can seat. On average, allow 60 cm (24 inches) per person:

  • 4 to 6 guests (square or round table): 170 x 170 cm (67 x 67 in) tablecloth

  • 6 to 8 guests (rectangular or oval table): 170 x 250 cm (67 x 98 in) tablecloth

  • 8 to 10 guests (rectangular or oval table): 170 x 310 cm (67 x 122 in) tablecloth
