Inspired by Beauvillé, Episode 2 : A traditional festive table

How about setting the table in holiday attire? This week, the traditional colors of Christmas are in the spotlight. We’ve got some tips on how to set a table that’s as warm as it is inviting…

STEP 1: Choose a holiday tablecloth

If you want to focus on Christmas classics, choose a tablecloth in the colors and patterns that are essential to the holiday season: we suggest our Sapin d’Épices tablecloth or our Winter model and matching napkins , available in three sizes to suit all your needs.

STEP 2: Revisit traditions with a table runner

Characterized by its rectangular shape (50 x 150 cm), the short table runner is also called “vis-à-vis” in French. As its name suggests, it allows you to delimit the spaces on the table for guests seated opposite each other. You can use the empty spaces to arrange each place setting and draw attention to the details. Among our Christmas designs, Jour de Fête and Megève are among our favorites.

STEP 3: Create a warm and festive decoration

Red and green will match perfectly with our traditional selection of designs: use red or gold candleholders, for example, scatter small beads or sequins in the same shades and dare some wooden details.

If you opt for a table runner, place a few branches of mistletoe in the center of the table and use the free space to place your various dishes: it’s sure to draw attention to your most beautiful table linen, always signed Beauvillé.

Tip of the week:

Make an original napkin folding in the shape of a tree that will arouse the curiosity of your guests. Don’t hesitate to follow our tutorial available right here to bring a playful character to the beginning of your evening.
